Stepping Stone House for Women

The Stepping Stone House is a residential treatment program for chemically dependent adult women and women with children (birth through age 12). During the primary treatment program, women are in group and individual counseling seven days a week. They learn independent living skills, parenting skills, employment skills and money management.

Highly motivated clients move to Transitional Living where they attend Aftercare, and pursue their GED, college studies or gain employment either through HopeWorks or the community workforce.

Individual and group therapy is available along with a 12-step philosophy and integration into community-based 12-Step support groups.

This program is unique because children can accompany their mothers into treatment. Child care is provided and the newly established Children's Play Center provides a healthy and educational environment for mother and child.

Stepping Stone House Alumni organize fund-raising events and assist in special projects like The Giving Tree at Christmas time.
