Criminal Justice

Many who seek treatment today do so at the encouragement or requirement of the criminal justice system, courts, probation and parole departments, as well as attorneys. Because of the nature of alcoholism and drug addiction, some alcoholics or drug addicts become involved in the criminal justice system.

The Counseling Center recognizes the special needs of those being served from the criminal justice system, as well as the special needs of the courts and probation officers who are trying to help them. Our residential and outpatient programs are dedicated to serving those involved in the criminal justice system, while maintaining a high level of accountability to probation officers. Accountability, responsibility, and partnership with the criminal justice system drive our efforts. Once a referral is made, we immediately develop strong lines of communication between the treatment professional, referral source and client.

Our goal is that the client receives the most effective treatment while meeting the important requirements of the court or probation staff.
