Residential Services

Bridges for Adolescent Girls

Bridges is a long term, residential program for adolescent girls, ages 14-18, who are looking for recovery from alcoholism or other drug addictions. Girls are considered for admission with or without children. Those who are expecting stay for the duration of their pregnancy. Parenting support with education, coaching and counseling is provided for young mothers.

Through programs involving the visual and performing arts, treatment for young women focuses on improved self esteem, development of trust, team building and self expression. Clients engage in creative drama workshops, participate in a rigorous circus arts program and take part in a visual arts program at the Southern Ohio Museum.

Staff assist girls in continuing their education via home schooling, GED classes, or enrollment at Shawnee State University. Referrals may be made by schools, Family and Children’s Services, Juvenile Courts, or other AOD agencies.

The State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) in Ohio is accepted.
